About Me

First thing's first: my résumé covers the details.

I'll be graduating from CSU Chico in December, 2014, with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Applied Computer Graphics.

The path I've taken to get here has been unusual. For the past several years, I've been working many hours per week to pay my way through school, so that I can graduate with as little debt as possible. At one point, I even took an extended hiatus from my studies in order to join a startup company, Techtonic Games; the company ultimately folded, after shipping Bust-N-Rush, but I tell people that it's one of the best mistakes I've ever made.

I have experience working with, and in many cases leading, multi-discipline teams of students on large-scale projects. You can see some of this work documented on my portfolio website, and more at the Chico State Game Studios site.

The bulk of my programming experience has been with game development, but I've also worked with databases and web applications, including the maintenance of some student project servers, and more recently my work with the university's learning management system.

You can see some code samples over at my Github profile, including my own open source projects and a few others that I've contributed to.

If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a note.
